The decision to get married is life-changing. Partners aligning their hopes, ambitions, traditions and culture is not easy.

Myriad big decisions are made – venues, dresses, cake, food, who to invite: it is overwhelming. These months are romantic, but also fraught with insecurities and conflict- personal and financial. Therapy and counseling are often key to making it work. And so is dance.

First dances, whether by the happy couple, or by friends and family, are the physical embodiment of this union. You have to invest time and energy to make them work! And they are global phenomenon, with hundreds of millions of online views. Wedding Dancers follows couples across the UK in the six months leading up to the big day.

Celebrity choreographers get to know the happy couple, devise bespoke choreography, and guide the couple, friends and family through the rocky rehearsals all the way up to the performance on the big day.

Wedding Dancers is a cross-cultural, inter-generational series of pure joy and entertainment. The series celebrates every kind of wedding; gay, straight, trans, religious, secular, military, winter, summer, in a castle, on a beach, in a cathedral, an airbase, or in a registry office. Bhangra, Irish dancing, ballroom, Broadway musical, hip hop, tap, salsa, disco, flamenco – you name it, they dance it!

Wedding Dancers is the very definition of inclusive, warm family viewing. It is the ultimate feel-good series where we learn as much about ourselves as we do about the couples, their friends and families. It is a returnable format that can work in any territory and language.
